Life in Leopard
It has been EONS since i log in.Since now i'm having block leave, i've all the time in the world for this grand post.haha.....
For the past 2 months, my life is all about the Army.Transition from Boys to Man they call it(yea i do feel man now).I was posted to Leopard Company on 090407 which is considered a heaven company.Indeed it is a welfare company where almost all officers are approachable when you have any probs.Abit abt Leopard here, if you're in Leopard, you will feel sort of superiority over the rest.Dunno why.During morning marches, we nvr failed to shout 'Champions' as we are the Games Day Champions for the 8 times running. Our company flag is has 8 streamers while the rest has at most 2.It gives us a sense of pride towards our company.
My platoon mates; wackiest and gayest in the company.Dunno whether they all really gay or act gay. Some of the acts is too explicit too be described here.My bunk mate;;they are really cool guys. The jamming(using guitars and some pails) and soccer sessions we had in the bunk and also the times where we tio confinement together are really fond memories man.
What i feel abt BMTC is that it is a gd experience as one get to do things diff from the norm. For example, firing live rounds from the M16, throwing live grenande and experiencing the exploding effects from it is really a once in a lifetime thing. And also stringent condtions during field camp taught us to dig holes after we do our 'business' and also fill our tummies with the no-taste green packets and rations.Finishing the 24km on a high with my mates is the all-time highlight of my time here.Imagine how gruelling it is to march with ur Full Battle Order including helmet and rifle for 24km.I don't think i can do this without the help of the buddies and the songs that we sang en route to the finisihing line. All of these taught me to be more appreciative of what we had and not take things for granted.
Soon POP day arrived(like finally!) and we are separated into diff. units.I wish them all the best in their respective vocations.
